Gary and the Staff at Gary's Family Campground would like to welcome you and thank you for camping with us. We hope you have an enjoyable visit here in 'Wild and Wonderful' West Virginia. We ask that you please always be kind and considerate to all living creatures while staying with us. Our policies are intended to protect our guests, our staff, and this beautiful environment for all.
The following rules were established to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance, with a 'Good Neighbor Policy' in mind. Since every contingency cannot be covered in any set of rules, from time to time, modification may be necessary.
When you check in at Gary's Family Campground, you will be asked to sign a copy of these rules. By staying on our property and signing, you and your registered guests are hereby agreeing to abide by all rules and regulations of Gary's Family Campground.
The Owners and Staff of Gary's Family Campground are not responsible for any damages due to direct/general damages, incidental damages, and/or consequential damages. Campers/Visitors must carry their own insurance to protect against damage including but not limited to fire, theft, freezing, accidents, loss of life, loss of limbs, natural events, Acts of God, etc. You understand that you are camping at your own risk.
Please observe MAXIMUM 5-MPH SPEED LIMIT at all times on campground and campground roads. Watch out for children and other critters at play. maintaining a safe speed also helps to keep keep the dust down.
Children must be supervised by an ADULT at all times. Parents assume all responsibility for children under the age of 18.

Nearly all campgrounds have established "quiet hours". These are established for those who need to get a good night's sleep or are perhaps camping with small children. Remember, voices carry in the still of the night, so we ask all of our campers to please be respectful of this time so as to be considerate of their camping neighbor(s).
Please notify the office if you are expecting a guest prior to them arriving, so they will be allowed to enter the campground.
Campers are required to register their pets at the Office at Check-In and MUST provide proof of current vaccination records. Campers should keep dogs leashed at all times regardless if you are at your campsite, walking through the campground, or hiking on our trails, Campers are also asked to please ALWAYS clean up after their pets promptly and please ensure their pet(s) don't go to the bathroom on their neighbor's campsite.
Catch and release only.
For your own safety, Campers nor their Guests are NOT ALLOWED into any water or streams located on the campground . THERE IS ABSOLUTELY "NO" SWIMMING ALLOWED AT GARY'S FAMILY CAMPGROUND. NO EXCEPTIONS. Note: There is a Community Swimming Pool located at Berkley
Springs State Park.
Hiking is ONLY allowed on designated trails. Before ANY hiking, please visit the Office to inquire about any conditions or restrictions. DO NOT WANDER INTO THE WOODS.
Alcohol is permitted at your campsite, however, NO underage drinking is permitted (under 21) and all beverages MUST be kept and consumed at your campsite. Excessive drinking and/or rowdiness, loudness, vulgarity, or creating a disturbance WILL NOT be tolerated. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO refunds will be given under these circumstances. Campers will be held accountable for themselves and their guests' actions.
Gary's Family Campground uses a well for its water supply. Unfortunately, washing cars and/or RVs is not allowed.
Dumping of waste water of any kind is NOT permitted on the grounds. Please use our Dumping Station to dump all waste water.
All campers are to please check with the Office before building a campfire for any conditions or restrictions. Campfires are only permitted in designated fire rings. NO fire(s) are to be left unattended.
Because you can endanger those around you, this is one of the most important camping rules, regardless of where you go. Be sure to extinguish all fires before bed, before heading out for the day, or when you leave the site at the end of your stay. The general rule of thumb is to make sure the coals and/or ashes are cold.
Please do not place grills on an unprotected wooden picnic table.
Trash MUST be deposited in Container located at the Lodge. DO NOT leave trash at your site and DO NOT leave trash outside DAY OR NIGHT due to area wildlife.
Please always keep in mind that you are visiting wildlife in their home. At NO time should you feed or approach any wildlife.
All motorized vehicles MUST stay on designated roads and are NOT allowed "off-road" or on hiking trails.
If you need to call 911 or emergency services, as time allows please call the office so the campground staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.
Gary's Family Campground reserves the right to evict anyone violating any of these rules/regulations, destroying property, or otherwise creating a disturbance. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.
